Punchneedle Part 2 Finishing A Needle Case

Needle cases come in handy when traveling.  This little strawberry punched piece was simple and easy to make!

If you enjoy doing punchneedle this is a simple and quick way to finish off your piece and make it into something that can be given as a gift or use for yourself.

Ginger, another GREAT video. I like your idea of using the chip board; I never liked the "floppy" look when I made a needle case. Now I know what to do. Also, the yarn trim is a great idea; I have not done that before either. Thank you for an excellent tutorial. Blessings, Dee

Hi, thanks for this tutorial. I just finished a punch needle, and decided to make a needle case. Yours were the only directions I could find!
Anyway, I had a question; when you stitch the punch needle piece to the wool, do you stitch through the punch needle itself, (ie, the part with the loops,) or through the selvage that remains after cutting the piece out?

Sarah, I do sew through the wool and the loops of the punchneedle piece. When you pull your sewing thread down through the loops it hides down near the weavers cloth so you shouldn't see it. I also add that piece of yarn around the edge where the needle punch piece is and it hides any little bit of selvage that may have been left of the weavers cloth. I will try to do a video on that part soon. Hope that helps you with your project..Ginger
